In 2008 I was living in the basement of a house on Mt. Tabor in Portland, OR. I'd been collecting musical instrument for quite some time at that point, and my room (about 8ft x 15ft) was such that you couldn't go from one end to the other without bumping in to something that makes noise. It was getting ready to burst when a friend of mine asked if I'd like to have a Hammond organ, and since there really wasn't any more room for it... I said hell yeah. We drove with his truck over to the pickup zone, and when we got it back, I did some "minor" rearranging and managed to fit it in between my bed and the dresser. For the following days I was locked up in their learning how to use it, and this was the first song I wrote on it. Since then, our ways have parted, but I will always appreciate this gift of inspiration that it gave.
